NYKKI GARDINER
I am Nykki Gardiner, I come from North West London (Ruislip) and my passion at the moment is teaching the Eyelash / Brow Enhancement courses. It's amazing how different people look by enhancing their eyes with Marvel-Lash individual lashes, tinting their lashes and threading their brows; I love to see people's reactions when they look in the mirror to see the end results! I enjoy my job very much and meet such a variety of interesting people, I couldn't imagine doing anything else. When I'm not teaching I love to do parachute jumping - you have to do one thing a day that takes your breath away!
MELISSA THORPE
My name is Melissa and I work in the office at Training Solutions which I enjoy very much, most of my time is spent co-ordinating training and making sure everything is organised such as making sure training equipment and materials are delivered on time for training to run smoothly. I love working for Training Solutions for many reasons, but mainly because of the wonderful people that I work with! My favourite treatment at the moment has got to be Marvel-Lash simply because I love the fact of not having the hassle of putting mascara on every morning…its great! In my spare time I enjoy going out with friends and meting new people, I like to travel to learn more about different cultures and one day I would like to say that I have travelled the world!
EMMA JOBSON
I am Emma Jobson and I live in a village in the North East of England called Bedlington. I have worked for Training Solutions now for 6 years and teach almost all courses available by Training Solutions. My favourite course has got to be our Nail Technician course. With nails being my personal favourite, I love to see students benefit from my knowledge and experience. Teaching has always been my life goal and Training Solutions have given me the opportunity to work and see many different towns and cities nationwide.

JANET RATINGS
I am Janet Ratings, I come from the North West (Lancashire) my passion is teaching especially Nail Enhancement courses this is my specialty, it's amazing how much confidence you can give a person by enhancing their nails, in fact I just love to teach all aspects of beauty to give that feel good factor and I love to see peoples reactions when they see the end results. I enjoy my job very much and love meeting people; I have taught for many years and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Working with Training solutions is the best move I have ever made in my career they are so professional I feel confident in the products that I work with being the best I have ever encounter being of the highest standard this makes me comfortable in my recommendations with my learners. In my job I help to give people the courage they need and the skill to follow their dream. When I'm not teaching I like to relax with my family entertaining I love to cook and create new crazy but delicious recipes with the one draw back I also spend a lot of my time washing dishes ugh - I am a ordinary very approachable friendly confident person with a passion to teach, life is about living, learning and enjoying and at this moment it could'nt’t be better.
JANE KENNY
I am Jane Kenny and I live in Uxbridge (West London). I enjoy teaching all courses but do favour the holistic/facial courses which are relaxing and calming. I went into teaching to pass on my knowledge of the profession, to make the courses interesting and enjoyable. After many years in the teaching profession I find Training Solutions the ideal company to work alongside, the staff are very friendly and you never know which exciting part of the country you will be sent to next. Over the last 9 years I have met so many interesting people from students to whoesale staff. Each day/week you are teaching something different. For relaxation I enjoy embroidery/cross-stitch, photography and jewellery making, but most important of all is the precious time I spent with my 3 young grandchilden.
RACHEL FARROW
I am Rachel Farrow, and I live in 'sunny' St.Austell, Cornwall! I enjoy all aspects of beauty therapy, but my specialist subject is Nail Enhancements. I love the art of creating a beautiful nail and all the amazing things you can do with different products. It was this passion for nails that brought me into teaching some 12 years ago, a job which I love, as everyday is different and meeting new people and helping them to learn and enjoy new skills is very rewarding.
Training Solutions has given me the ability to do what I love within a professionally run company working with a great team of colleagues.
When I am not teaching I am spending time with the 'three' men in my life..my husband and two sons! I can also knock up a wedding dress or two!
LIANA MULLEN
I live in the West End of Glasgow with my husband, Simon and gorgeous 9 year old daughter. I love teaching all aspects of beauty therapy but am especially enjoying the Marvelash course as the results are fantastic. I love them! I tend to do a lot of advanced waxing courses which I enjoy also. I would love to teach more facial and massage techniques because I do feel they are my natural treatment speciality.

I have run my own beauty salon business for 16 years, which I still actively enjoy. I love the relationship that I have established with my clients and I have the best team working for me. I have always recruited therapists that have just finished their training because I like to train them from scratch and very much enjoy sharing my experience with them. Watching people develop, gain new skills, build a loyal clientele and blossom into fantastic therapists is what convinced me that training was my passion and the career for me.
Training Solutions gives me the opportunity and flexibility to fulfil this role along with continuing to experience salon life. We have a great team of dedicated and passionate educators and there is always someone there for support and help when you need. Training solutions is always at the forefront of new products and treatments, so we personally are continually learning and developing new skills.
In my spare time I am a keen runner and like to give myself a challenge or 2 every years in running events. I also love army training in the park. Mental I know!! Weekends are best with my husband and my daughter, pottering about local shops or farmers markets, walking, visiting cafés for coffee and cake; and of course catching up with my friends for a few wee wines. Food, wine, cake and then guilty exercise all my favourite pastimes. Not all in that order of course!

ANGELA MAZIERE
My name is Angela Maziere, I live in Surrey. I have been a beauty therapist for 16 years and have been teaching for 8 years. I enjoy teaching all our beauty courses, but my favourite to teach is our complete nail tech course. I like to see how people improve and develop their skills each day and also to support them in learning a new skill. I love my job, our courses are professional but very relaxed and friendly and I enjoy meeting different people. When I am not teaching I like to spend as much time with my family doing lots of fun activities with them.
CARMEL MOONEY
I am Carmel Mooney and come from Ireland. I love teaching all the courses especially the Marvalash Semi permanent Eyelash Extensions.
Students can find it a little tricky initially – but it’s always brilliant at the end of the course when they have mastered the technique and can successfully apply extensions that look fantastic and stay on the lashes!!
I’ve always loved teaching because it’s so rewarding helping people learn new skills that allow them to develop and to grow their business.
Working as an educator for Training Solutions is great because it allows me to do this while traveling to lots of different places and meet lots of interesting people.
As a training company TS are incredibly organized and hugely supportive to us the educators and the students. Their courses are always well researched and planned with the essential theory and practical skills to ensure all students feel competent at the end of their training.
In my free time I keep myself busy dancing – it’s great fun – and they do say it’s always good to keep on your toes!!!!!
ANNE NIVEN
My name is Anne Niven. I was born in Sheffield and lived in various parts of the country but returned to Dronfield in 2000. They say everyone always returns to Dronfield. My three children are grown up now and have children of their own, making me a glamorous (I hope) Grandma. I am passionate about teaching. I strive to make my classes fun while you learn your chosen subject. I love anything to do with Nails and am often to be found researching new systems and techniques on the internet at home. My other love is Eye Enhancements and Holistic Therapies. My Daughter is soon to be married; she often takes advantage of having a Mum who is involved in the ‘Beauty Industry’. I have far too many hobbies to list here, but some of them are; horse riding, reading, knitting/sewing, cooking which includes baking cup cakes and catering for Sheffield Football Club which is the oldest football club in the world and walking my two dogs, a Dalmatian and a Cocker Spaniel. So there you have it, that’s me. I look forward to meeting you while you study with Training Solutions.
GEMMA PENDER
Hi my name is Gemma Pender and I live in Ruislip in Middlesex. I am based in the office and my role is to coordinate the training courses we run all over the country. I am fully qualified in beauty therapy so also help with any technical queries that come through our office. I love to see people coming through attending their first course sometimes a bit nervous as it may have been a while since they have done a course and then see them go on to complete the whole lot!
When I am not sending our beloved team of educators to the far corners of the country (I probably should brush up on UK geography) I like to socialise with friends, go to concerts and get dragged to follow Chelsea on their European tours…football abroad is easier to bear than in England!
VICKY SIMPSON
I am Vicky Simpson, I come from North West London, (Pinner).
My job is to look after the college business side of Training Solutions.
My passion in my role is individuals wishing to develop their beauty therapy skills.
Training Solutions appointed by Salon Systems provide first class training - This is the only way forward, in my opinion!!!?
When I’m not working I love taking my baby boy to the park, music and playgroups, socialising with friends and singing - which I’m often doing in the office to make the girls smile!
CLAIRE MUCKIAN
My name is Claire Muckian, I live in a small village called Hepscott, just outside of Morpeth in Northumberland. I have been teaching now for 3 years with Training Solutions and have enjoyed every minute. I teach a wide variety of courses, my favourite being waxing and advanced waxing. When I am not teaching I enjoy staying fit and spending time with my family.
SHARREL WALLACE-PETERS
I am Sharrel Wallace-Peters, I live on the Wirral, a peninsula by the river Mersey in the North West of England. I have been a Beauty Therapist for 36 years and whilst I love all aspects of beauty therapy my passion is Holistic Therapy. I feel very privileged when students tell me how their newly acquired knowledge and skill has affected their lives for the better.
Having taught in a college of further education for 28 years I love the freedom of being self employed and working with the dedicated, highly professional team that is Training Solutions.
When not teaching with Training Solutions I am servant to two cats, spend much of my time trying to tame my garden and love making and selling luxury greetings cards.
LISA STONE
I am Lisa Stone, I come from Bristol. I absolutely adore beauty and holistic therapy I especial enjoy holistic treatments. I love seeing and feeling someones stress and tensions melting away because of what i am doing to them, making them feel uplifted and calm. And because of this I wanted to share my passion, knowledge and experience with others. Seeing someones confidence bloom, skill's and techniques improve, helping them on their way to a new career path or just improving and progressing gives me such a great feeling of satisfaction and pride. I feel very honoured and proud to be part of such a professional, experienced and extremely friendly team, I actually love getting up and going out to work every day (not many people can say that!)
My other passion in life is my family and friends, making them happy makes me happy.
RUTH ATKINS
My name is Ruth Atkins and I was born in Wales but currently living on a farm in rural Robin Hood country.
I've worked with Training Solutions for many years now and still get a thrill when teaching all forms of lash extensions which have come a long way over the years and now you can achieve the most amazing and instant results and be creative with them too.
I love teaching and the feeling you get at the end of the day when all the students are really enthusiastic to try out their newly achieved skill. What I love about our courses is the opportunity it gives to people to get into the beauty industry that they otherwise would find difficult and very time consuming. I've had some great opportunities within this industry over the last 22 years - the most recent being a guest presenter on QVC - its good to get out of my comfort zone!
When I'm not teaching I like to paint Dotty's nails (my 2 year old Italian Greyhound) and look at my hens sprinting ungainly across the lawn. Its things like that that make me laugh.
MELANIE WILSON
I am Melanie Wilson, I live in North Lincolnshire. I have been involved in the hair and beauty industry since leaving school and feel very lucky that I still enjoy my profession and look forward to going to work each day. My favourite subject is nail extension. My goal is to show students how to do nails without causing damage to the natural nail and to enable them to have a long and successful career. When I'm not teaching I work in my salon as a nail tech.
Away from work apart from shopping my favourite day out is at the races.
SHIRLEY MARSHALL
I am Shirley Marshall and I live in Milton Keynes. I have been a beauty therapist for 20 years and an educator for 10 years. I love helping students who are returning to work or changing career to realise what a wonderful profession the beauty industry is. It is wonderful to see a nervous, unsure student blossom over the day and gain confidence whilst interacting with other students and seeing the difference they can make to someone by helping them to look and feel their best.
Since joining Training Solutions I have travelled all over and met some truly lovely people. The company are really supportive and helpful which makes my job much easier.
When I am not teaching or running around after my teenage son I love to travel and have visited three continents so far Europe, America and Africa (everyone has to see the Pyramids at least once in their life time!) Next on my list is Asia can’t wait to visit Hong Kong and Singapore to take tea at “Raffles”!
SHARLENE TURCZAK
My name is Sharlene and I live in Sussex. I love working for Training Solutions because it gives me a chance to share my knowledge with other people in the industry. I get a kick out of seeing a student get to grips with a new treatment and when they achieve something it is an achievement for me too. Also I get to meet new people every week. I enjoy teaching all the courses, with my favourite treatment at the moment being Marvel-Lash because I love the difference you can create for someone and once its done to your satisfaction the look is there day and night, the care is minimal and no more hassles of putting mascara on every morning. I also really like Threading because of the looks you can rapidly create and I find doing the technique can be a bit addictive! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my kids, also windsurfing, swimming, hiking, going out with friends and meeting new people.
VICKIE ARPELS
I am Victoria Arpels, I was born in Essex and later moved to Norfolk where I live now and love it.
My passion is teaching the complete nail technician courses, educating students on how to become a professional nail technician using professional products. I really enjoy seeing how much students learn and develop skills throughout the 6 week course, and how pleased they are when they achieve their qualification!
Training Solutions is a very professional company with a friendly group of educators who all aim to deliver and provide a high level of education. I love being part of the team having different opportunities and experiences on a day to day basis!
I believe life is far too short so if there is one thing in life you want to do then you should just get out there and do it!
GILL BANKS
Hi My name is Gill Banks, I live in the West midlands. I have worked in FE for eight years. I’m qualified in Beauty & Holistic Therapies, both of which I enjoy immensely.Teaching for me is about sharing my skills through nurturing, and being able to adapt teaching styles to suit all individual needs. I believe that with continued support and encouragement everyone can achieve.I thoroughly enjoy working for Training Solutions, who not only provide a high standard of training, but also offers continued support to us as educators and also learners. Currently Marvel-Lash is one of my favourites. The results that the students achieve by the end of the day’s training gives great satisfaction to us both. This job is extremely rewarding, and I’m so proud to be part of this friendly dynamic team.In my spare time I enjoy travelling, Socialising with family & friends with the odd glass of wine or two! And spending time with my two beautiful grandsons.
JANET PALMER
Hi I am Janet Palmer. I live in Horley, Surrey. I specialise in Nail Art, however I love teaching acrylic and fibreglass. I have always wanted to teach wether it was in art or nails but something creative. I like to pass on my knowledge to others so they can benefit. Training Solutions is like a family, caring,supportive and encouraging. I am bubbly and at times a perfectionist (well all the time) I enjoy meeting new people and going places. I like each day to be different. In my spare time I love to read and sketch.
LISA ZACKI
Having 15 years experience in the beauty industry I feel totally passionate about my job and I feel totally lucky to be working for an excellent company like Training Solutions. It enables me to pass on my knowledge and experience but also allows me to still be hands on with treatment on my regular clients. I live in the Holme Valley (Last of The Summer Wine country) with my partner Chris and gorgeous daughter Georgia- Lilly. I particularly love teaching Marvel lash, threading and Nail Tech. When I'm not working I love running to keep fit and mountain biking with Chris. I feel privelidged to be part of such a professional and dedicated team.
